UKpms Condition Survey 2019-2022 on behalf of LB Hillingdon
London Borough of Hillingdon required a contractor to undertake UKpms Survey work on the Borough’s Road Networks. This work will primarily involve the collection of condition data using UKpms standard Detailed visual inspections (DVI) and full inventory survey on sections of the highway network). There was also a requirement to provide additional data analysis and related services.
The successful tenderer has their own UKpms accredited system to load in inventory, annual survey data and to produce reports and other information as required under this contract and detailed in the schedule of rates.
London Borough of Hillingdon required a contractor to undertake UKpms Survey work on the Borough’s Road Networks. This work will primarily involve collection of condition data using UKpms standard Detailed visual inspections (DVI) and full inventory survey on sections of the highway network. There is also a requirement to provide additional data analysis and related services.
The work consists of the following activities:
— undertake Detailed visual inspection (DVI) survey, with full carriageway XSP and minimal off carriageway XSP on non-principal classified and unclassified roads in the boroughs plus additional footpaths as may be defined,
— undertaking inventory survey during the whole period of the survey for both carriageway and off carriageway features:
—— width, at 100 m intervals where the widths are regular and those sections where they have been ‘widened’ or ‘narrowed’. Where sections are less than 100 m in length, measurement shall be taken at each end of the section. Construction type, at locations where there is a change of construction,
—— data collected in condition survey is to be match with Inventory item collected. This is to be verified by UKpms inconsistency report. The footway inventory must also include the recording of footway hierarchy at the chainage level,
— transferring and supplying network, inventory and survey data free from errors, omissions and virus’s for the Borough’s Network using an accredited UKpms system. The Borough is currently using Symology system (data must in hmd format),
— transferring and supplying UKpms DVI survey data and the unclassified roads survey data converted to aCVI — equivalent survey data in accordance with current version of UKpms rules and parameters applicable at the time survey to produce KPI based on similar to previous BVPI or NI reports.
The contract is for 3 years with no option to extend and the successful tenderer will be expected to complete the condition surveys.
