         The objectives of this project are to commission a Community Dental Services across Essex, delivering a high quality and continuing healthcare services to patients. — To improve access to dental services and the oral health of the target groups. — To be flexible to deliver single treatments to comprehensive and on-going dental care according to the needs of the patient and availability of other local primary care contracts. — To provide care appropriate to the patients situation — To ensure waiting times for assessment and treatment are achieved (as specified below under Referral, Access and Acceptance Criteria).

         The Commissioners received responses to the ITT from Providers with the necessary capacity and capability to provide the range of services as set out in the ITT, in a safe and effective manner.

         The contract period awarded is 1.10.2016 to 30.9.2019, with the option to extend up to a further 24 months until 30.9.2021.
