Maintenance and repair services related to specific parts of vehicles. Babcock DSG on behalf of the UK Ministry of Defence has a potential requirement to place a 5-year framework agreement with the possibility of a further two 1-year extensions for the direct repair/replacement of windscreens and vehicle glass covering a varied range of light and heavy logistics vehicles utilised by the armed forces.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:
The Authority has a potential requirement to place a 5-year Framework Agreement for the direct repair/replacement of windscreen and vehicle glass, and the supply and fitting of heated rear windscreens and body glass for a varied range of light and heavy logistics vehicles utilized by the Armed Forces. There will also be the provision for two 1-year options, should this be required and subject to satisfactory performance.
The Authority reserves the right to add items of a similar nature during the lifetime of the contract such as transparent armor and reserves the right to extend the areas of service to include other EU Countries.
Articles/services required:
— a windscreen/glass repair/replacement service for units of the armed forces, throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The full scope of the service may also encompass other EU Countries,
— supply and fit of windscreens and body glass at MOD sites or roadside to original equipment/MOD specification on a like for like basis using either ready-made windows or cut on site laminated flat glass,
— the repair of windscreens at MOD or contractor locations,
— the supply of surrounds, trims, and accessories when required to affect glass/windscreen replacement,
— a fitting only service where MOD supplies windows/glass,
— a removal and refit service for windows/glass.
